Quiet night last night, so the singlies made up for it so far today. Trip up to a local lake, Maroon Lake, at 9500 ft to do some altitude training. The short runs caused some heartburn amongst the unfit, which was all of us. We also got a training run in on the Wagner field, pass the ball around and warm up the legs on a field that has more lumps and bumps than Sumo's noggin. Mind you, with house prices starting in the million mark and going up into the tens of, this is the most expensive piece of real estate in the country!! This was followed by the usual hydrating session with a few Heinekins around the heated swimming pool. Off shortly to catch up with the Aspen boys at the other field, then dinner at Billy's Sports Bar, and we might stumble back to see those useless Marrieds in from their Denver bus trip (with a bit of luck we might even see Tassie, although we think he probably has been denied entry into the states)!

You want to watch out for the "Grizzlies" on those mountain walks too boys! And not the ones from Glenfield either!
ReplyDeleteMy understanding is that Tazie was aloud in but the chances of you guys seeing him at Aspen are less than 20% versus the chance he will end up behind bars. Good to see you are getting into the aclimatizationing thing (that is very likely not even a word let alone spelt correctly, who cares) The forwards have obviously got a lot of work to do. Maybe they will finally realize that they need to get the ball to the backs. Thanks for the updates Rog Keep it up. Although most of the Maulers are over there it is good for those of us less fortunate to hear whats going on.Train hard tomorrow. Cheers Baxta and Kerry.
