We arrived after much anticipation and fundraising in the wonderful San Fran. Plane ride was a fairly orderly affair after a few quiet ales at the airport to get us in the mood. Once on the plane some players drank the bar dry and duty free bottles were consumed as we could only bring in 1 bottle each to USA. Off to the Hotel REX which was an retro, funky hotel in town. Over the next few days we scooted round town on Segeways (scooter thingees), cycled over the Golden Gate Bridge and went to Alcatraz, which was an eerie and very interesting tour. Girls spent many hours shopping and boys tagged along, briefly, before finding a bar to lax out in. We got the cable cars sorted and jumping on and off became an artform, especially after a few drinks!!!!
Kangaroo Court (now named KIWI court) was a rowdy chaotic affair which kept the other hotel patrons highly amused and Sooley was the biggest drinker, followed closely by many others.
We are now in Aspen and have caught up with the "singles". Training run this morning and first game tomorrow at 10am. Will keep you updated. Look out for a couple of photos once we know how to load them.
